All in a Day’s Work

As an anaesthetic practitioner I was uncomfortable with the eulogising of NHS during the first wave of Covid. The aim of this project was to avoid the inevitable glamourisation of staff, and voyeuristic portraying of sick and dying patients, to show the reality, the human face of those who were being applauded. Over ninety photos from this project were published in a book, featured in The Guardian newspaper, including the front page, and appeared around the world in magazines and websites.
